Day ten of thirty days of prayer for our schools:We pray, today, for Leyland Methodist Junior School - one of four of our schools in the Chorley and Leyland Circuit.As we prayed yesterday for Leyland Infant School, and both schools, in a federation together, have the same Executive Head Teacher, Mrs. Chadwick and the same Ethos and Values Statement (you can check back to yesterday), do please pray today for the Junior School - all its staff and pupils, the governing body and the whole school community.Let's also pray, then, today, for the Epworth Education Trust, the Methodist academy trust which now runs a number of our schools in the North West England District (and others outside of our District). We invite you to pray with us today, on the National Day of Prayer for Schools.Lord, We pray for pupils and schools across the nation, asking that your presence and peace rest with them today. Give our school leaders and teachers strength, resilience, joy, and deep compassion for the work they do. We lift up every young person facing poverty, loneliness, abuse, bullying, family breakdown, mental health struggles, addiction, or violence. Hold them close and protect them. And God, we give you thanks for the 30 Methodist and Methodist / Anglican shared primary schools across our District. Bless each of these communities and let them be places of hope and safety.
