Ainsworth Methodist Church, Bolton, hosted a festive Afternoon Tea for the community, inviting villagers, members of the local Anglican Church and reaching out to those further afield in the Methodist Circuit.
Tables were laden, seats were full, tea was poured, conversation and laughter flowed and a good time was had by all.
Guests were entertained with Christmas songs, a seasonal quiz and a chance to win generous prizes donated for the occasion.
Supernumerary minister Rev Phil Belli opened and closed in prayer, giving thanks for Jesus, remembering those who were absent due to illness, and urging us all to greet someone we had not previously met. Everyone was invited to attend the joint candlelight Carol Service and the Nativity play, this year with a new script!
