“We had a wonderful time on Saturday 16th November at Ambleside Lights Switch On. The Anglican and Methodist Churches work and worship together and on Saturday we transformed the church into a family fun area, with an inflatable helter skelter, free tea and filter coffee and snacks. With the tagline “you are so welcome!” We are inviting the community to be part of what is happening in the church, focussing on a welcome for all, and sharing God’s love through serving our local community. Ambleside is a small town of 3,000 but in holiday season this swells to 30,000. We love visitors, and are always delighted when visitors pray for the work of the church in Ambleside, and support what we are doing to bless our local community. We have many more plans over the coming year, working as a shared ministry team, developing interns, and supporting our jointly owned Parish Centre.”
