We are The Church – Showing the Love of Jesus at Creamfields!

Liverpool Plus Mission Area is the home to one of Europe’s biggest and most prestigious dance festivals: Creamfields. It takes place at Daresbury Estate, Cheshire, over the four-day August bank holiday weekend. For several years, an ecumenical team of volunteers has been at Creamfields to show the love of Jesus to festival goers and staff through listening and hospitality. Find out more here.

There is still time to apply to be part of the team this year, Tuesday 25-Monday 31 August. There are two roles you can sign up for by July 21:

Pastoral Team

Can you give eight hours over the bank holiday weekend to be a vital caring presence at the festival? We’re looking for people who have a heart to serve others through giving out water and biscuits, and providing a loving listening ear. A simple mission with a profound impact.

Support Team

There are lots of practical elements to making this mission happen, from setting up marquees to washing blankets. A particular need is people who can commit to pack down on the Bank Holiday Monday. If you are able to help, we would love to hear from you.

The link for the volunteer form for either role is here and training and support will be provided. Click here.

If you would like to support WE ARE THE CHURCH AT CREAMFIELDS in another way, please consider making a donation:

Donate Jammie Dodger biscuits! Why? In the middle of the biscuit is a love heart and love is at the heart of what we are doing at the festival. The volunteers can share God’s love (and biscuits!) with those they meet. Any donations can be dropped off during office hours at Church House in the Diocese of Chester, Daresbury Park, WA4 4GE.

Financial donations can be made to: St Wilfrids Grappenhall PCC, S/C 09-09-17, Acc 97914460, Ref Creamfields
